BuildIntel Publisher Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 31, 2026
1. Overview & Scope
BuildIntel integrations provide data governance, automation, and reporting applications for Autodesk Forma, and the wider Autodesk AECO ecosystem. Protecting the security, confidentiality, and integrity of enterprise project data is BuildIntel’s highest priority.
This Privacy Policy describes how BuildIntel collects, processes, uses, and safeguards information when organizations and authorized users access BuildIntel applications available through the Autodesk Design & Make Marketplace.
2. Data Collection & Processing Mechanisms
BuildIntel operates strictly as a data processor for enterprise clients. BuildIntel does not sell personal data, track behavioral browsing activity, or integrate third-party advertising SDKs.
Data is collected and processed through the following mechanisms:
-
Authentication & Identity: BuildIntel integrates natively with Autodesk OAuth 2.0 (2-legged and 3-legged) authentication protocols. BuildIntel never accesses, intercepts, or stores user passwords. Authentication is handled exclusively within Autodesk’s isolated login infrastructure. BuildIntel receives the user’s corporate email address and unique Autodesk identifier to provision user permissions and manage application access.
-
Directory & Administrative Metadata (Persistent Storage): To deliver Project User Manager workflows, synchronize permissions, and prevent Autodesk API rate throttling on large hubs, BuildIntel indexes and securely stores administrative directory metadata in its secure database. This metadata is strictly limited to Hub IDs, Project IDs, user IDs, corporate email rosters, assigned project roles, and company associations.
-
Engineering Payloads & Transient Processing (Zero Retention): BuildIntel applications do not store, host, or archive proprietary engineering files, BIM models, drawings, or design metadata. Operational project data retrieved via Autodesk Platform Services (APS) APIs is processed transiently in-memory exclusively for the active runtime session and is immediately cleared and discarded upon logout, app termination, or browser closure.
-
Zero AI Training Guarantee: Customer data and metadata processed through BuildIntel infrastructure are strictly isolated and are never utilized, directly or indirectly, to train, tune, or validate public or private machine learning or artificial intelligence models.
-
Technical Telemetry & Error Logging: To ensure service reliability and diagnose system issues, BuildIntel may capture anonymized diagnostic telemetry (such as API latency, HTTP error codes, and request timestamps). These operational logs contain zero proprietary project data or design payloads.
3. Infrastructure Security & Third-Party Protection
BuildIntel does not rent, sell, or disclose customer data to commercial third parties.
-
Hosting & Sub-processors: Applications and databases are hosted on Tier-1 enterprise cloud infrastructure (such as Google Cloud Platform). BuildIntel confirms that all third-party cloud hosting providers and core infrastructure sub-processors are contractually bound through enterprise Data Processing Addenda (DPAs) to provide the same comprehensive level of data protection and security safeguards as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
-
Encryption Standards: All data in transit between BuildIntel applications, Autodesk APIs, and end users is encrypted using industry-standard TLS (HTTPS) encryption protocols. Stored administrative metadata is encrypted at rest, and active application sessions execute within isolated runtime environments to ensure strict tenant separation.
-
Temporary Session Caching: Where requested to optimize data sync or report exports, temporary caches may be utilized. Cached payloads are isolated to the authenticated user and automatically purged upon session termination or expiration of the designated caching cycle.
4. Data Retention, Deletion, and Revocation
Because BuildIntel operates on a transient execution architecture, BuildIntel does not retain native Autodesk model files, drawing sheets, or hub documents.
-
Administrative & Directory Data Retention: Directory metadata and corporate account records are maintained in our secure database for the duration of the active subscription to provide continuous user governance functionality.
-
Subscription Termination & Data Purge: Upon subscription cancellation or termination, associated directory records and user profiles are immediately deactivated and permanently purged from active systems.
-
User Requests for Deletion: End users or organizational administrators may request permanent removal of their account records and administrative identifiers at any time by contacting info@buildintel.tech. Verified deletion requests are executed within 30 days.
-
Revoking Connection Access: Enterprise administrators retain full control over API access and can immediately revoke BuildIntel’s application integration at any time directly through their native Autodesk Account Admin console (Custom Integrations / App Management). Revoking access immediately invalidates all active OAuth tokens, halts data synchronization, and terminates communication between BuildIntel and the client hub.
